Costa Rica is easy and affordable to travel by bus, and it's a great way to immerse yourself locally.

We are easing your bus travel experience by offering advance online reservations and up-to-date schedule and bus locations, all on one website.

Previously it was difficult to find accurate station and schedule information or impossible to reserve online. In addition, you had to go to the station in advance to get tickets in a narrow 24 hour window before travel, and often bus stations move or times change.

We eliminate all the uncertainties by reserving your space and picking up your ticket(s), allowing you to enjoy more time sightseeing or relaxing.

How does it work:
- Reserve your bus ticket conveniently with us by 2 p.m. the day before you wish to travel. We take reservations up to 6 months in advance.
- We will deliver your ticket(s) with station address & map to your lodging the evening before.
- Arrive to bus station with your ticket 15 minutes before departure time.
*Tickets CANNOT be delivered to your hotel more than 24 hours in advance of travel time.

Costa Rica Bus Travel Tips

Assigned Seat:
Most tickets will have a seat number, you must sit in that seat.

Restrooms:
The majority of the buses do not have toilets on board. Allow time to visit the restroom at the station beforehand. The restrooms in the stations usually have attendants charging a few hundred colones so carry loose change. Most routes of more than 2 hours will have a 15 minute rest break about 2 or 3 hours into the trip.

Luggage:
Large bags will go underneath the bus. Arrive 15 minutes beforehand for stowing. You may put smaller bags in overhead space which is good for food or clothes. Keep your valuables with you on lap or between your feet.
